Ingrid Price Design

An interest in anthropology morphed into a BFA degree in Theatre which led to a 35-year career in costume design which naturally evolved into filmmaking which coincided with teaching at FIT which spawned mentorships and incidentally... an interest in creating ephemeral works in paper. From primates to piñatas; it's quite the ride! Welcome to my world.

About

Ingrid Price wanted to be an anthropologist, but accidentally earned a BFA in theatre instead. She has worked in the entertainment industry since 1980, primarily as a costume designer for film and television. Her work may be seen on Nurse Jackie,  Law & Order Criminal Intent; and many other series, films, television movies, music videos, and plays. She is a member of IATSE locals 829 and 764. She is a New York Women in Film and Television 2011 Designing Women honoree for her work as part of the Nurse Jackie wardrobe, hair and makeup team. More recently, she has moved on to producing small film projects, mentoring, and working as an artisan in the ephemeral medium of paper.
